You are better off saving up your money and investing in the right tube amp before you spend a lot of money on effects. PATIENCE NOW WILL SAVE YOU MONEY IN THE LONG RUN. It won't kill you now to invest a few basic classics that you'll always use -- like a good wah -- make the right choices and you'll have them forever. But if you've got $200 to spend on gear, you might just want to put it toward a new amp. And saving up for it will give you the time necessary to do your homework and find out what kind of amp is best for your needs.
