Site Redesign Ongoing
|
|
We are back on track with the site overhaul and redesign
project. John and I are working behind the scenes and
making slow, but steady progress trying to create and
implement all the new functionality and interactivity
we've been talking about forever. It is a learn as
we go effort with new, unfamiliar software. The
designer we hired is working on the updated look
and feel. It is our hope to roll out the new and
improved DRG this Summer. Stay tuned.
I want to thank everyone who has made a donation
to help fund this effort! It is truly helpful, and appreciated.
New Interviews
Janne Stark's interview of Dino legend, Robin Trower
posted, as is my interview of Janne Stark himself! A
new interview with my old friend and Whitesnake guitarist,
Doug Aldrich is in the works. Doug has commited to do
the interview, but he's on tour, and we just have to
schedule a time that works for both of us.

Latest Interview: Janne Stark
When you think of Swedish metal guitarists, Janne Stark
probably isn't the first name that comes to mind. He's
very much like most of us guitarists here at DRG. He just
seems to get a whole lot more done. Read about him, here.

Latest Music Appreciation Review - Vandenberg
Released in October of 1982, Vandenberg was a easily
one of the best albums of that year, one of the best debut
albums of the period. At the time of its release, the future
looked bright for Vandenberg. They had a US hit with Burning
Heart, but sadly, neither the band nor the album received
much exposure. Read about it here.

Alchemy Profiles MAY Feature Video Clips!
When you open an Alchemy profile, you may see a definitive video
clip of the player doing his thing. As they say, a picture is
worth a thousand words. Now you can actually see what is described
in the player's profile. Note: We realize
that the YouTube clips we use sometimes become "no longer available."
When we roll out the new site format, we will be hosting the clips
oursleves, and we'll have better control over this issue.
