The Man In Black is 80

Post: # 253192Post Stitsel

Need I say more? The dude's been around, to put it mildly. I'll go out on a limb here & say he's a good part of why we're all here, more or less...... no he's not the inventor, be-all-end-all of rock guitar playing but he's certainly provided some key moments. The Wizard of the Stratocaster.

Cheers Ritchie & love & health to you!! :obscene-drinkingcheers:

Hope he's OK. Doesn't sound like he's be doing great.

Blackmore is THE man. Period. He is always on my top list, along with the usual suspects on this site. He was doing stuff I can only dream of doing back in 1970, for God's sake!!

Happy B-day to the Man in Black indeed. Hope he is doing great and his health issues were only a minor setback.

I have loved his playing and songs for 50 years. I think he's one of the most uniquely extraordinary rock guitarists ever, up there with Clapton and Page for sure.

Happy birthday!
