I switched to 009's in 2020.
I have some arthritis in both of my index fingers, but of course much worse in my left hand.
My immediate response was "I'm such a dummy, I should have done this years ago!".
I have to say that I have way more control over the strings and bending and vibrato are much easier and a lot more expressive.
