Behind the Recording of Led Zeppelin II AND IV

I love this shit!





To me, the amazing thing about Zep II from a production standpoint, is that when you listen to it you'd never guess it was made across so many studios. It has a sonic continuity like it was all done in one place.

I'm not a Pink Floyd fan, but I certainly acknowledge that Dark Side is an amazing production achievement.

Moving between that many tape machines, it's amazing that the Heartbreaker solo was probably the biggest tuning issue on the whole record (and that wasn't that big a deal).
