Birmingham Melodic/Pomp Rock legends Magnum lost their main songwriter and guitarist last Sunday to a rare spinal condition.

That's a real shame. Magnum never made the big leagues, but they had great melodies IMO, some really catchy songs, and a great vocalist.
They were one of the first bands I saw when I came to the UK in 1985, on the Vigilante tour. Excellent show, really good vibe throughout.
He was a solid player, rooted in the '70's, but such a prolific writer.
