Dino Dave: Musical memoirs of a would-be guitar hero

Drink will flow, blood will spill.
Here's where you discuss stuff that doesn't fall under the other topics. Doesn't even have to be music-related.

Dave, I like it.
This might seem strange: I wanted more. More detail. More...colour, dare I say it? What I read was interesting, but then onto the next thing quite quickly before I felt I'd had enough of, say, your Dutch adventure.
Does that make sense?
Maybe I'm being greedy. And I guess it's a balance between events and details. What do I know, I write reports for lawyers!

Thanks, Nick.  The story can't be 100% on the musical. I have to fill in the non musical back story that gets me from A to B to C. But as you say, it's a balance. I'm trying not to go too far down the tangents.  :handgestures-thumbupleft:

You'll get more detail in the next chapters. This first bit really just sets the stage.

I should have known better that to try and play top 40 from the jump.

So many life lessons from music. Almost as many as you get from Bull Durham. Except if you pursue music, it almost forces you to make the same mistakes (and sometimes worse ones) over and over again (as you'll see in future chapters).

So I've read your paper and I need more.

It's like reading about me, but 6 or 8 year before :-)
