Traveling to the UK in early December
Re: Traveling to the UK in early December
If anyone feels like meeting in London, Uli plays at The Garage on 11/28 and Schenker at the O2 in Sheperd's Bush on 11/30.

Last Saturday, I spent a wonderful afternoon with none other than Dr Nick himself! He invited me over to his lovely home in Sheffield, where we jammed to some AC/DC, Iron Maiden, and Priest tunes in his home studio. And to make my visit even better, the Dr and Mrs Nick treated me to some homemade pizza (I don't think the photo does it justice to how delicious it was).

Love it! Wish I could have been there.
It's not a restring until I'm bleeding.

It was a load of fun, and showed me just how out of practice I am!
It was a real pleasure to meet M11. He's a cool dude, and a good player. He's encouraged me to start learning full songs again, instead of just picking little bits here and there.
And he gave an Explorer that's been gathering dust a real workout.
Thanks for a great evening mate.

That is the one thing that has always made me nervous about meeting any of you guys. I haven't really practiced correctly in 5 years, and since I got this job, one year ago, I barely touch my guitars. To say I suck right now is an understatement, to put it mildly...Dr wrote:Sat Jan 03, 1970 9:38 pm It was a load of fun, and showed me just how out of practice I am!

DRG meetups are rarely about the playing.
It's not a restring until I'm bleeding.

And off the back of this, decided to explore some Priest. And discovered that Sin After Sin is really good!
That's me going down a rabbit hole...

To me everything Priest did from Sad Wings of Destiny until Defenders of the Faith is essential. But if you twist my arm and had tho choose, the 70s stuff, specially Sad Wings, Sin after Sin and Stained Class are tops. Throw Unleashed in the East and I could probably listen to that exclusively for the rest of my life.Dr wrote:Sat Jan 03, 1970 9:39 pm And off the back of this, decided to explore some Priest.
