My girlfriend thinks I’m nuts too… She needs to mind her business! Slash Anaconda Burst. Demo model, got it at a decent price, I’ve had good experiences with Sweetwater’s demo gear.

I either wanted this or the Vermilion red one, the Appetite and November ones are nothing unique, the Appetite doesn’t even look like it’s namesake. I just sold my gold top, if I bought another one, cause I love the gold tops with dark backs, my girlfriend would have hit me over the head with it. I was really pissed when they released that gold top, because they did so like 2 measly months after I bought my Standard gold top.



I saw the reverse chevron flame on it, it just caught my eye… Then I saw the weight, under 9lbs, most of them are in the high 9’s mid 10lb range, anything under 9 I’m good with. I was on the fence with buying it, because even I know how ridiculous this is, I mean I went back and forth with the purchase like 5 times, it triggered a fraud alert on my credit card, but fuck it… Now I can say I’m done!

Funny story, after I purchased this, The Music Zoo put up 3 or 4 of these for sale, brand new, I was pissed because they probably would have sold me one for $700 less than I paid for this demo… They’re all flame tops also, but not very nice, and when I opened this case I didn’t feel the least bit ripped off, even the finish issues they described were less noticeable. Most importantly, it plays like a dream, the pickups hit the spot, still love the Custombuckers in the R8’s, but these have just that little added balls… The neck is noticeably smaller, but beefy by any measure. I do appreciate the VOS finish on the R8’s a little more though.

that is qute nice, indeed.  sweetwater has a "smokehouse burst" classic i like, although i might get a heritage cherry, cuz ive never owned that finish.  how many lps would you say you own at any given time?  do you even know?

Total, including non Gibson? 15 with a Burny, Edwards, Heritage, and Epiphone. This is the only time I owned more than 2 at a time.
