TC Electronic Afterglow
A few months ago, I sold two pedals I didn’t use (even managed to make a little profit in the process!), and I decided to reinvest some of the money in a chorus - something I haven't had in my arsenal in ages. I didn’t want a complicated or expensive model, as I’d only use it once in a blue moon, so I considered cheaper options by Mooer, Nux, TC Electronic, among others.
I eventually picked the TC Electronic Afterglow. After a few weeks, I can safely say it’s a keeper. It sounds organic and warm, without that « synthetic » sheen that plagued many late ‘80s chorus sounds. There’s no noticeable volume drop or increase, and it’s not overly dark or bright. Controls are effective and progressive.
Overall, it's really nice simple pedal, which seems quite sturdy, even though it’s made in China. If you don't need more than the occasional touch of chorus on a clean tone, I wholeheartedly recommend it. At 39 euros, it’s a steal.

Interesting. I've been using a MXR BLS Chorus for years, for the same reason: it's not too "in your face", at least the way I have it set up.
Might look at this. No harm in having alternatives.

Good deal Seven Moons. I'm admittedly an FX junkie, probably have 2 or 3 of each main type of modulation pedal...chorus,flange etc..... I must have at least 3 or 4 chorus pedals, like 'em all. I think the key is mix, you don't want it overpowering. TC Electronics makes super solid stuff.
