Are We Going To Talk About the MXR Rockman X100?
Re: Are We Going To Talk About the MXR Rockman X100?
All of Hysteria was recorded through a Rockman direct to the console. Both Phil and Steve used them on that record. Phil still has the very same unit he used on that album.
I have that pedal on order from Sweetwater. I ordered in the beginning of February and I don’t think its set to arrive until June. It’s in very high demand. When I bought my first electric at Rhythm City in Atlanta, my friend and coworker who went down to the shop with me to buy let me use his Rockman for several weeks at a time. So it will be a fun pedal to have at home.

Well, the honeymoon with the X100 pedal is definitely over! It was just too noisy in my rig, even though it sounded great.
I restored the Catalinbread Dirty Little Secret and Formula 5F6 pedals to the chain, and retired the Keely Fuzz Bender that I never used. The DLS and 5F6 pedals give up Marshall and Fender sounds, respectively, to my Marshall amp's clean channel, really expanding the options. And the Naga Viper gooses each of those to all new worlds of wonder too.
