A very high-looking Leslie West
Not the most inspired performance. West looks at least half baked, and uninterested -- he's fucking around. But the BALLS he played with are just huge. Corky Laing is one of rocks most underrated drummers of all time.
It's not a restring until I'm bleeding.

Is that a Steinberg? Probably the best tone I have ever heard from one of those.
While I have heard better from Les, that was pretty cool. Monster tone, from the moment he played the first note I went "Yeah!" No wonder Mad Mikey liked him so much.

Yeah, he played those for a while. I saw him live in a club in probably the late 80s or early 90s. He was using the S-shaped Steinberger, also with the Trans trem -- which he really seemed to dig. His tone was monstrous, and he was much better than he is here.Tatosh wrote:Sat Jan 03, 1970 9:49 pm Is that a Steinberg? Probably the best tone I have ever heard from one of those.
Can we still say Trans Trem? And if so what would the pronoun be?

Lol. Saw Mountain at a cold, windy knebworth festival 1985. Some awesome licks from the maestro particularly in TFAIW.

West could certainly be electrifying. Even slimmed down he had that presence.
