Circus of Horrors

Drink will flow, blood will spill.
Here's where you discuss stuff that doesn't fall under the other topics. Doesn't even have to be music-related.

Circus of Horrors

Post: # 250169Post Dr Nick

Not exactly Dino, but I think it's pretty rock & roll: my son's been hired to play drums for the Circus of Horrors (circus skills in vampire/zombie/general scary costume) over Halloween week in Blackpool, England.
They were finalists in "Britain's Got Talent" some years ago.
Sort of rock/metal soundtrack.
Slow progress, but he's building a CV as a musician. Hopefully this will lead to more work.
I think his outfit is similar to MCR, Black Parade era.
Proud dad!

These guys, right?

They appear to be like a goth Cirque du Soleil. I've seen Cirque du Soleil a couple of times, and the one with a live band stood out from the one with canned music (unless it was the Beatles one in Vegas). Congrats to your son on landing that gig!

Yup, that's the one. This was his audition:

And this is the number in the show:

Hopefully he'll be able to keep his mind on the job!

Well, he's finished the dep job, and they've only gone and offered him the drum stool for a 2 month tour of the UK!

Promo shot from the tour. I think he looks pretty good.

And someone filmed the whole show.

Although I think they cut the topless bits out.
He's become quite friendly with the girl who fires an arrow with her feet.  :obscene-drinkingcheers:
