What happens when you take an early 70's Les Paul Deluxe Goldtop, repair the headstock, route out the pickup cavities, refret it, give it a terrible paint job, and rewire it? Apparently, I buy it. I think I have an affinity for it because I too was made in the 70's, have some wear points, and show the effects of bad decisions. Regardless of the terrible repaint, it sounds good (previous owner put Seth Lover pickups in it, which I like) and is really nice to play. It's fairly heavy (10-11lbs), so it feels to me like a Les Paul should and will probably give me lumbago or something (see the previous note about bad decisions).

Thanks! It's the first "new" guitar in a while, so that along with retubing my Marshall has me playing a bit more again. I largely took the summer off, aside from a little practice here and there and playing when I had an idea for something, so it's good to get rolling on something again.
