Wow everyone who saw that tour says it was absolutely killer. Unfortunately there's no pro recordings of it. Listen. By the time you get to Eat Em and Smile, Roth could still sing like he did on the VH albums. I saw the Eat Em and Smile tour, and he could do what he did on the recordings. 

We're 40 years removed from that. And it shows.

Some people are "great singers," some people "sing great." Roth was only ever a guy who sang great, but he can't even do that anymore.

Something about this band's music reminds me of the Foo Fighters -- and it hits me the same way. Power pop that I should like more than I do. 

TBH, I don't remember if he was using Mesas with Blue Murder. He was using Marshalls with Lizzy. And he sounded AWESOME (and exactly like John Sykes) every time I saw him.
