Re: My band's latest show
Sounds good, Mario. I assume this took a lot of time, effort, and money to put together? I presume that was all you, because (unlike you -- who looks cool) your bassist couldn't be bothered to wear something better, or even learn his lyrics rather than reading them off the fucking phone. To do that...

Re: A little Mad Mikey jam session
It's amazing how very basic Schenker's rhythm style is. Pretty much standard rock fare. Not a lot of tricky chords.

Bootsy's studio tour
I love Bootsy Collins. He's a living muppet. This tour shows all his basses, his pedals etc. The engineer, Tobe, is a friend of mine, and was in a project with Amy for 5 minutes. My version of Kashmir came out of those sessions.

Re: All I ever wanted
I have my own style that I now recognize when I hear it throughout my recorded music. That said, I'm still working on shit, trying to get better. What I realized is that even if/when I do improve, my style doesn't really change. I just add another crayon or two to my box.

Re: Bogner Shiva 20th Anniversary
Bogners are voiced kind of like Oranges. Beefy in the middle. Less toppy than Marshalls. I still have a 1999 Shiva 1x12 combo in storage. I wished I'd bought the head, but I have the ATMA head (1w/5w/18w) which does all the vintage Bogner sounds.

Re: I wrote a song and it's not awful
I hear this I can't write songs from a lot of you guys. No offense, but that's nonsense. If you've been playing guitar 30+ years, if you can jam , and especially if can play a zillion covers, the ability and musicality to write songs IS definitely within you. You maybe don't realize it because it di...

Re: Reverb. What do you like and why?
I never really used reverb as a "reverb effect." I never liked the Fender surfy or Peavey reverbs, but my old Hiwatt and Bogner combos had the good, Accutronics spring reverb. I'd add just a touch to create a little extra dimension, live. A listener would not perceive I was using reverb. ...

Re: DLR.. Make Of It What You Will
I saw the 5150 tour a month later, and as good as that was, I felt Roth's band was better. Strong words, and you are not the first person who has mentioned this to me over the years. I was too young back then (still playing with Transformer toys LOL) So I can only go from what people who lived ...
