My first guess was a humidity issue might cause it, but they're not in an overly humid environment.
 

I honestly don't know much about the Custombucker other that (I think) it's their standard pup for all of the vintage reissues. I'm sure virtual reams of info probably exist if you google or YouTube search.

That's got the Uli kick-stand vibrato bar on it.

I'm not up to speed on the nuances of all the Ibanez models. I don't recognize exactly what that is.
