The overall tone seems a bit more compressed than the original VH1 one, but I get it might be the recording. For such an (in)famously elusive sound, you are damn close.

What are you using in the chain? Pickup? amp? etc.

A true musical genius. The 20th century musical movement wouldn't be the same without him.

Not much online yet, but apparently Rick Derringer passed away yesterday.

Not sure if there might be many fans of him here. I think he was mostly famous for playing with both Johnny and Edgar Winter. He was a big name in guitar playing for a bit back in the day, I suppose.

I am considering getting one done as well. A coworker does this sort of work on the side, and he gives me a great price. If I can get this image in print worthy quality I think am going for it.

I have lusted for a good Les Paul for a while. I was looking at the japanese Edwards (made by ESP) stuff a few months ago but these are always in the back of my mind as well. Do a full review if possible!
