Re: You Live Somewhere. If You Could ....... Somewhere Else?
i've been in New Orleans since 1993. i came on vacation, and, except for living a year in the Mission in SF, i've been here ever since. i've done a ton of weird jobs over the years to support my music habit, and in the process, gotten to know the city pretty well. one thing about NOLA is that, it's...

Re: You Know What?
One thing I always appreciated about this site, is the qualification of melody, among admired guitarists here. I hear people all the time ripping, purposely. It sounds like a mess, because it is a mess. One reason I got into blues music in my 20s, was the phrasing. In many cases with the real in...

That would be killer. I'm changing the menus here. One bit at a time. My new focus is on vegetarian and vegan items. There's not many options here in New Orleans for those. My whole idea from jump, has been to sell a veg based menu, where one can order meat dishes a la carte.

life is pretty damn good!
my season of hell seems to be drawing to a close. i'm loving my new job. while i was at Tujague's, i did stages at a few other kitchens in town, and i was always offered a job on the spot, but i was skeptical, because of the ongoing labor shortage in my industry. my thoughts were, am i really a d...

Re: New job
Congrats man! thanks. i stuck it out as long as i could at tujague's, but at my age, i need to be learning, or earning, and i really haven't been doing either for almost a year. my reputation as a venue manager is still very good, but that's only useful if anybody's left in town that remembers ...

new yamaha pacifica professional
has anybody seen the youtube demos of these, yet? the pickups are absolutely incredible sounding, with a very tight bass and wide open, airy treble. this guitar absolutely begs to be plugged into a wide open super reverb.

New job
I left Tujague's last month. I'm running the kitchen for a nightclub on Frenchmen St, here in New Orleans now, plus managing a bar and grill across the street from it. Also, I have a new phone number, so if you want it, message me on here, and I'll send it.
