Re: Accept: Frankenstein

The solos make the song much more interesting imo. It's a great sounding section in a really good-sounding song.

Greatly looking forward to delving into their last two CDs (I didn't hear much of them first time around), while awaiting their show with KK's Priest in September.

Re: Uli - Iridium NYC 4/27/2024 with GOOD video!

I've seen all my guitar heroes -- and most of them in their primes, 30-40 years ago. But I'd never seen Uli live.  This was one of the most astonishing nights of guitar performance I've ever seen. He's everything you want YJM to be, but isn't!  Uli's about to turn 70 in December, and the man was ja...

If you do, you have to wear the horned viking helmet every day.

I like all of those albums, but I rarely listen to them. I spin Maiden regularly.

Re: You Live Somewhere. If You Could ....... Somewhere Else?

I have lived in Missouri, US for four and a half years and hate the weather, overall can't seem to assimilate. Ideally we'd live in Trondheim, Norway. The location, climate, history, and vast forests of Norway fascinate me. I'm big on frozen forests lol. But we'll settle for moving back to Vermont i...

Definitely a fan of the Priest and Accept. I was never much of a Dickinson solo fan, but this is the best I've heard. My wife loves the new Bruce.

Cool analysis! It's 38 years this year since I first heard that song, and it's still favorite song (and quite possibly my favorite solo).

I hate to be that guy, but I have seen him, once. It was probably the best concert I have ever been to. If I were you, I would look into airplane tickets to the closest venue he is playing on this tour.

Ok, now I've graduated to stressing lol.

Yes, same band and they  smoke .  I didn't take any pics during the show, except for a small snippet of the Sails intro....and then got a pic w/Uli afterwards. Too busy tonight to make a longer post, but suffice it to say the show was badass. I'll post that quick vid over in the Videos section.    ...

Re: Funeral for a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding cover by Metallica

The Goodbye Yellow Brick Road album is an album I'd come close to placing up there with Abbey Road or Quadrophenia. Not quite Pet Sounds or Revolver level, but it's such a magnificent Rock masterpiece imo. I'm curious where other fans of 60s and 70s Brit Rock see that album (and/or Madman Across th...
