You should go if you get the chance. They put on a hell of a show. You won't be disappointed

Re: Is Heaven and Hell Geezer's best bass work?

I think as a general rule of thumb, rock and metal bass lined were a lot more interesting in the 70s. Also applied to pop in some extent.  In the 70s you had Enwistle, John Paul Jones, Jack Bruce. Softer rock bands had the likes of John McVie and Leland Sklar. Chris Squire was amazing in Yes. None o...

Re: DLR.. Make Of It What You Will

Wow everyone who saw that tour says it was absolutely killer. Unfortunately there's no pro recordings of it. What are your recollections of that show?

Re: DLR.. Make Of It What You Will

DLR was never the most solid vocalist live but then again neither were Robert Plant, David Coverdale, Axl Rose and many others. I really like what he brought to the table vocally to those old VH tunes. He was definitely an original and really differentiated himself from all the high pitched tenors t...

Re: Wolfie!!

Yeah , Foo Fighters are definitely an influence on his music, and he's pretty tight with Dave Grohl.

Love the nod to the Hot For Teacher video re-creating the guitar solo scene.

I dig Wolfie's music, I really like his voice, and he found his own style within his Dad's influence.

Re: And now, I'm a singer--- new album

After playing and singing at the same time for a few years now, I've discovered that what works best for me is practice the guitar part until I can do it without thinking, so I can concentrate on the singing, which is always more difficult for me.

Re: John Sykes’ Blue Murder Rack Recreated — It’s Glorious!

Love Michael Nielsen's videos. Dude's an actual pro, not just some random dude going off in his garage. He's a monster player, composes and produces music for major Hollywood movies and ....  he actually produced and mixed the John Sykes live album, he has a video about that.

Re: Val Kilmer - RIP

Pretty bummed out, grew up watching his films. I even like his Batman movie.
I watched Top Gun on VHS and then went to see the sequel 3 times. Now I see that was his farewell from the movies.
He steals the screen in Heat next to Pacino and De Niro
