Re: New albums from Priest, Bruce, Accept
Never really got into Accept TBH, but thoroughly enjoying the other two.
Pretty cool that they've produced new material of such high quality.

Re: You Live Somewhere. If You Could ....... Somewhere Else?
Interesting thread! I'm currently with my parents in Lima, Peru. Not been for 5 years and was seriously missing being here, and my extended family (aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, old school friends...). Then I got here. Food is on another level. Especially Chinese/Peruvian food. But every...

Re: You Know What?
I've failed to persuade my kids, sadly. One starts in the '90's, dammit, so he does all the Frusciante stuff (very well), and his vibrato sucks, although his hands are quite fast. Regularly slags off '80's rock. And the other is a finger picker mostly on acoustic. Sam Fender is the rockiest he gets....

Re: CJ Snare Firehouse
Yes real shame. I'd heard a rumour that cancer was involved (he'd had some type of surgery last year) but don't know details, or even if it's accurate. But saw him around the release of Prime Time and he was just fantastic as a vocalist and front man. Rest of the band were good too, but he stood out...

Re: Behind the Recording of Queen's 'A Night At The Opera'
D'you know, my son's suddenly discovered Queen - on vinyl.
So he's got a bunch of albums, LOVES this one, Day at the Races and News of the World, and is investigating II, SHA and The Game.
Hasn't managed to get Jazz yet.

It's on the European version of 1987. Good song, great Sykes solo.

Re: Judas Priest - Invincible Shield (album)
Well that was a strange thing: had to take my drummer son down to the South coast - he had a local gig away from his Circus tour and trains are unreliable. Stopped on the way back for coffee, and who walks in but ROB HALFORD + security guy. He's turning away from the people in the place, so I guess...
