Re: New strings oxidizing before use?

I've noticed it on the plain strings on some that I've had a long while. It's gotta be age. Couldn't be humidity, the strings are individually packaged and the outer wrapper is sealed too.

Re: NGD - Milestone Birthday present to myself

Congrats, and play it in good health!

Welcome to the the Sexagenarian Club! (Sexagenarian, that's a big word. It means a person in their 60s. It has nothing to do with sex...)

Re: Another NGD

I had a black one like that back in the day. I think the model I had was a 750. Play one E chord, and your hair grows out four inches!

Congrats, and play it in good health!

Re: Dickey Betts

I'm sad to hear this. I have a fondness for the original ABB. I guess Jaimoe is the last survivor.

Re: Dino concert tickets

And now they're mostly little blue boxes on the phone. Even the small venues that still provide paper tickets just have black and white text with bar codes.

Re: Tom Werman - Turn it Up!

Finished it over the weekend. Again, a good read but not great. Lots of timeline inaccuracies. For example, Werman claims Tom Sholz recorded the FIRST Boston album with a Walkman!   Absolute epic fail. If you know Boston (and maybe even if you don't) you would know the Walkman was created to emulat...

Re: Tom Werman - Turn it Up!

I'm about halfway through this book right now. It's a pretty good read, but certainly not as much as Ted Templeman's was. Still, it is cool to learn about how Werman got started. He makes being the A&R sound like the coolest job to have!
