Re: New strings oxidizing before use?
Whoa dude, WTF, not good. No, I haven't noticed, I buy 'em in bulk too. Different gauges for different guitars. I'm mostly a D'Addario NYXL guy, but I'll do EB's, Dunlops, & even try another brand once in a while. But, I stick to D'Ad & EB, sometimes Dunlop. Never really had that issue, it'...

Re: NGD - Milestone Birthday present to myself

Re: NGD - Milestone Birthday present to myself
Congrats Dino Dave...... that literally looks like a vintage guitar Page would have in his arsenal or something. Love the super dark RW fretboard & what about the PUPs? Glad to see you're in good health entering your 6th decade, yes it's time to enjoy a little splurging now. :music-guitarred:

Re: Another NGD
That "fat bar" is their Ultralite Carbon Fiber Bar ( or whatever it's called ) & I have one on my Black Label S model guitar... & it's the shit. Absolutely love it, it makes the bar feel way better. Seriously. I would put one on every guitar I own with a bar, for real. Feels way li...

Yeah I hear ya, I rarely listen to them much anymore either, but glad I have them. Skunkworks is great too. But yeah I'm digging the new one certainly. He sounds great.

Re: Duane Eddy
A true pioneer. I dug Blackmore's tribute to him, and I do always remember him mentioning him going way back in interviews.
RIP Duane

Re: Rainbow Stargazer solo
Yeah....that solo absolutely blew my freaking mind the 1st time I heard it, and rightfully put Blackmore into a category all his own, among other guitarists.Just on a whole other level both technically and feel wise. Very eerie yet uplifting, and super intense. Just imagining his fingers doing it ...
