Don Kelley retires

from Guthrie Trapp's FB page this morning, news that Don Kelley is retiring to Florida from his Robert's Western World gig on Lower Broadway in Nashville.  that guy has had more great guitarists come thru his band than Ozzy and John Mayall, combined.  Brett Mason, Johnny Hiland, Redd Volkaert, Daniel Donato, JD Simo, and Guthrie, have all done extensive time on that bandstand.  i suppose singing and playing four to five hours a night, four nights a week, for 25+ years would make anybody take a hard look at retirement.  lol  the end of a music era, for sure.
