Producer/Psycho Phil Spector dead at 81

I threw me guitar out. Why bother? Why bother? Use it as a coffee table. Because I can't play it like that.

    Just saw this. While Phil was definitely a creepy character, his influence as a record producer in the 1960s and early 1970s is legendary.

    I think sometimes if you try to play too technically, you lose something in the music - like you're playing for another guitar player. I like to play for people. The more sophisticated and mature guitarists become, the more they go with the feel.

    My friend Jamie who is a photographer in the LA area, was hired to photograph his trial. She was there on multiple days. She said that e every day she was there, Spector stared at her for for extended periods of time throughout the day. Creeped her out big time. I believe he was trying to make her uncomfortable and was his way having some kind of continued control and power over women. Psycho is accurate....
