    As a 10 yr old me he was one of my early NFL heroes. I saw Jim Brown play live as a 6yr old..
    This saddens me :(

    As a life long Bears fan,Gale Sayers is as beloved as legends like Walter Payton,Dick Butkus and Mike Ditka.
    The thing about the Kansas Comet was the WAY he ran the rock.He was like a human gazelle.Smooth with long strides,he had the ability to make defenders miss and look foolish doing it.He was the most elusive running back this side of Barry Sanders. Sad that knee injuries shortened his career. Rest in peace #40

    Hoping Barkley doesn't end up the same way as Sayers.
