So I just picked one of these up. £69, cheap as chips. 

Have only played about with it for 15mins or so but for a super easy to use practice tool this fits the bill. A bunch of amp sims, effects, drum machine and looper all wrapped into one. It also runs on 4 AA batteries!

    That would be worth it just for the looper. I need a looper just to write solos and lead parts over progressions I have written. I really don't want to spend $180 on a looper. Having the extra stuff like the effects, drum machine and sims is an added bonus.

    The looper has 30secs record time so bear that in mind. There’s a few YouTube videos up now.

    That's what I said for a long time (like a couple of years), but eventually I caved and picked up a ditto.
