I takes me months to record something, but sharing my dabblings in music on DRG is what keeps me motivated...
This one was supposed to be a space rock thing, that's not really how it turned out, but it's a nod to Hawkwind nonetheless, with the upfront bass (as much as my newbie bass skills allow it) and with a Dave Brock-esque riff. I'm pretty happy with the lead guitar tone, as it was a test drive for the Seymour Duncan Black Winter pickup that I've installed in my Jackson DK 2 a couple months ago.

Hey, Vin, I'm happy to hear anything you record, and this is probably the best lead work I've heard from you!

Nice track....for a newbie bass player that is some nice bass work. Also the lead guitar is pretty kickass. The second solo in the trade off reminds me of Wolf Hoffman. Well done man.

That was way cool. Some spacey fx on the leads could've made this even better methinks.

I thought it was nice.  Kind of reminded me a bit of some stuff from the first Jeff Loomis solo album just a little less extreme.

I really really enjoyed that Vincent!!!!!!
You really wear the NWOBHM influence on your sleeve.
I loved the key change in the B section and the lead work was positively incendiary! Great chops, good precision with just the right amount of reckless abandon, and I think I spotted a couple phrygian dominant and diminished ideas.
If you want to take this another step forward you could record with a drummer and a singer (or maybe develop a melodic theme for guitar) and maybe include a breakdown section.

I'd enjoyed this! Some of that playing is really ripping.
    Good job! :)

Thanks for the kind words guys. Putting together small pieces to post them on DRG is precious to me, as it gives me goals.

That was a breath of fresh air. I might have faded the bass slightly lower than the rhythm guitar myself, but I can't find any faults at all. The solos kick ass. I am hearing some Schenker, some Gary, and as mentioned, Hoffmann.

Also, when it ended the next song started playing, your tribute to Lemmy, and man let me tell you, the intro lead totally reminded me of some Piece of Mind era Maiden soloing. I had heard it before, but I hadn't noticed. All cool of course.

Great stuff Vincent! I especially liked the lead at 1:30 and on the outro.
